Canada/USA,
Spring 1999.
This
was my first long distance holiday on my own, so I opted for
a bus tour, to see some of the country and still have someone
to talk to. Including a really dreadful flight back, it was
a truly memorable experience. I loved both countries visited
and was impressed by the friendliness of the "natives":-)
I vowed that I would return, but next time travel independently,
if only to create more opportunities for photography.
I never
thought that I would find anywhere that I would want to live,
apart from my home town, but Waterton, Canada is a lovely
little town in a glorious lake/mountain setting and I would
love to live there.
I have now
seen The Rocky Mountains and they are glorious. I also now know
why Montana is called The Big Sky Country. The skies go on for
ever and are a wondrous sight. Virginia City, Montana,
is a small town which is kept as it was originally and is a
photographers dream-town.
Steak, eggs and hash browns is, I think, an ideal way to breakfast
and start the day.
All images were taken using 2-Leica M4.2 cameras loaded
with Kodak 100 colour negative film. The resulting prints
were then scanned into the computer to produce these files.
