Images obtained using a Panasonic FZ50, during a visit of 3-weeks. Places visited included Vancouver; Victoria; Tofino & Strathcona Park.

On this trip in particular, I have noted a marked tendency to photograph certain subjects in the same way. This is particularly evident in my totem pole images, which I only seem

able to "feel" in one way. I have an obsession with architectural reflections, which I do not think will ever go away, but my main love is in finding the small abstract part of something.

This is very obvious in my Long Beach pictures. I said at the time, that I had taken my "Vancouver Island" picture and, with the benefit of hindsight, I still feel that way.

With the use of digital cameras, there has been a marked swing in my images, from black and white to colour. I still believe that my most emotive work is produced in the former.
